Introduction
1. What is PoshBid?
PoshBid is a new auction format that gives you a chance to
get incredible deals on the things you want!
All participants have the same conditions regardless of
their location. Our slogan is: Every Day from NY to LA – referring to our
customers throughout USA and
Canada.
To get what you want, just juice up your account with bids
and start bidding. This is your chance! The bid price starts from $1 to $0.50
depending on the package. For example 100 bids cost only $65, which means you
have already saved $35.
All products at PoshBid start with a price of $0 and every
bid increases the price by only 1 cent ($0.01). The final price of the product
will remain extremely low.
2. What kinds of auctions can I find on PoshBid?
At PoshBid we have two different types of auctions: PennyAuctions
and FlashAuctions. At PennyAuctions the
timer interval is 2 minutes. At FlashAuctions the timer interval is 30 seconds.
3. Are all items on PoshBid new?
Everything on PoshBid is brand new and in the box. Most items come with the manufacturer’s
warranties.
4. Where can I find the auctions?
You can see all live auctions on the PoshBid homepage.
Closed and Future auctions can be found at the top of the Auction Page.
In addition, you can also see My Auctions and Won Auctions
in the Member's Area. My Auctions features all live auctions where you have
placed bids. If you have won an auction, it will appear on the Won Auctions
page.
5. How can I get in touch with PoshBid?
You can reach the PoshBid team via e-mail or through Skype.
Please view the PoshBid Contact Us page.
6. How do I receive information about new products and
campaigns?
You can keep yourself up to date by checking the Future
Auctions page. Also, notifications about our campaigns will be sent via E-mail.
Bidding
7. Can I bid if I live outside the US?
PoshBid is open to residents of the United States, Canada and Member Countries of
European Union. Although in some cases Delivery Terms and Rates might be different.
For more information, please view our Terms and Conditions.
8. How can I bid on PoshBid?
Go to the PoshBid Register page and complete the register
form. Registration at PoshBid is free. You will receive a confirmation letter
by e-mail. After confirming, you will be able to log on to your account. You
will get 5 bids free of charge, but we suggest you purchase a BidPack to start
bidding. For more information see How it
works.
NOTICE! While bidding at the last seconds is exciting and
lots of fun you run the risk of losing the item you want, so keep that in mind
when deciding when to click the bid button. Computers sometimes lag and if
yours lag while bidding it might not register your bid in time and you could
lose item.
9. What does the auction window contain?
The auction window contains the different parameters for the
current auctions: time, price, highest bidder, product picture, etc. For more
information see How it works.
10. How can I purchase a BidPack?
In the Member's Area,
you will see Buy Bid Package, go there and follow the steps. You need PayPal to pay for the BidPack of
your choice. After you have juiced up your account, you will be able to start
bidding. Just choose your product(s) and start bidding.
11. How can I see how many bids I have bought?
Just go to the top of the My Bid page and open Bids Bought.
You will see all the bids you have bought.
12. What is the cost of the product I am bidding for?
The price for a product is the price shown as the “Total
Price to be paid” on an auction product page. The final price includes shipping
and bids made at the auction.
13. Can I bid more than once on a single product?
Yes, you can! You can bid again after someone has overbid
you.
14. Can I place bids for more than one auction at a time?
Yes, you can! You can place bids on as many auctions as you
want and you are able to follow your auctions on the My Auctions page.
15. Can I cancel bids I’ve made from my account?
No, you can’t! After you have pressed the Bid Button you
have made your offer for the auction.
16. Can I use automated bidding when I am not able to follow
the auctions?
Yes – users can bid in two ways online. Bids can be placed
manually by clicking on the relevant Bid Buttons, or they can be placed
automatically by using the AutoBidder.
The AutoBidder assists bidders by bidding on an auction even
if they are not online at that time.
So that the Auto Bidder will bid for you, you must set 1-50
bids on the AutoBidder. Your maximum price has to be at least $1 higher than the
current end price.
You can only set one auto bidder per auction. As soon as the
Auto Bidder is no longer active, you can set the next Auto Bidder.
An AutoBidder can be paused or deleted at any point.
All unused bids will be returned to your account.
For more information see How it works.
Notice1! The AutoBidder places bids automatically after
someone else has placed a bid. It will not overbid itself.
Notice2! Its possible that the price (from-to) set by user exceeds before using all bids user has set. Therefore its suggested to set the end price to which you are predicting the auction to close at or even higher.
Notice3! If you are setting your autobidder make sure that
the auction timer has not passed 1 minute. This is important as Autobidders are
run with 1 minute interval and if the auction timer is showing less than 1
minute it might not start at all. Therefore every user is suggested to place at
least one bid before setting your auction to run with autobidder.
17. How can I stop the AutoBidder?
The Autobidder can be paused and/or deleted from the
Member's Area by going to the My Autobids page.
If you have paused your Autobidder and someone else has won the auctions
you will be given back all the bids that were left unused. If you delete your Autobidder you will receive your unused bids automatically.
18. How can I see auctions I have made bids for?
Just open the My Auctions page in the Member's Area and you
will be able to see all live auctions where you have placed bids.
19. Where can I see who is bidding against me?
On any of the product pages you can see the last 9 bids
including user names and bid types.
20. When does an auction end?
Auctions end when the counter reaches zero and no more bids
are made. If you are the last bidder, you have won!
21. How can I see my Bidding History?
Just go to the My Bid page and at the top of the page open
Bidding History. You will see all the bids you have made.

Returns and Cancellations
PoshBid grants winners the right to cancel an order. This

a user cancels a contract to which the cancellation provisions apply, they are
entitled to a refund of the auction end price they have paid in relation to the
contract even if the goods are not defective in any way. Bids placed on the
auction are not eligible for a refund. These cancellation rights end 14 days
after the day the winner received the goods or notification that the goods are
ready for collection.
The right to cancel is forfeited as soon as the customer has
broken the seal on audio or video recordings or computer software. These items
are not eligible for return or refund.

Technical Issues
29. Why does the PoshBid Auction Clock show a different
time?
The PoshBid Auction Clock shows the server time and this
might be different from your computer or your Time Zone. All auctions follow
the time of the server (EDT- Eastern Daylight Time)
30. What’s up with the countdown?
If you have watched our auctions for any length of time you
might be scratching your head and wondering about the clock. Auctions start
with a fixed amount of time on the clock and start ticking down as soon as they
go live. With every bid placed, we will take 2 minutes off the clock until the
time reaches the last 2 minutes or 30 seconds, depending on an auction type
(penny auction or flash auction).
On a Penny Auction, the clock resets every 2 minutes until the
bids are placed. The same thing happens on a Flash auction every 30 seconds.
The countdown stops resetting after there are no more active bidders and so the
last bidder has won the auction!
31. What happens if I run out of bids?
You can easily buy more bids from just about any page on the
site. Look at the top right corner for
the Member's Area. There you have a button that says ‘Buy Bid Package’. You can buy bids in packs of 10-500 Bids.
32. I purchased a BidPack, but the bids didn’t appear in my account.
What happened?
Usually, bids appear in the users account immediately, but
in some cases bids could appear in the users account after a 15-minute delay.
If you do not see the selected amount of bids in your account after 15 minutes,
we suggest you contact our customer service section.
33. How safe is it to purchase a BidPack from PoshBid?
Firstly, you need to create a PayPal account in case you do
not already have one. “PayPal is a faster, safer way to pay and get paid
online. The service allows members to send money without sharing financial
information, with the flexibility of paying with their account balances, bank
accounts, credit cards or promotional financing” (PayPal 2009).
34. I placed my bid and got a confirmation, but my name did
not show up as the highest bidder. What
happened?
Sometimes, in popular auctions many bids come in at close to
the same time. Our system updates the
site with whichever bidder came in last.
If you saw a confirmation message your bid was registered and you can
see the last bidders on the product page.
35. “Auction Closed” appeared after the counter reached
zero, but the auction was reset. Why?
When bids are made in the last seconds, the auction control
is carried out by the server and auction will reset to 00:02:00 or 00:00:30 with flash auction.
NOTICE! While bidding at the last seconds is exciting and
lots of fun you run the risk of losing the item you want, so keep that in mind
when deciding when to click the bid button. Computers sometimes lag and if
yours lag while bidding it might not register your bid in time and you could
lose item.
36. Why do the auctions pause?
PoshBid auctions are open for bidding 12 hours per day –
12am to 12pm EDT. That gives us a chance to restock the shelves and sweep up
before opening up each morning. Auctions can be paused by the service provider
in case of an attack on the site.
37. What if I am bidding on something that pauses?
Take this as an opportunity to catch your breath, stock up
on bids and get some rest. The auction
will usually resume at 10am EDT.
38. Where can I see Future Auctions?
Future auctions can be seen under the link “Future
auctions”! This link can be found on the front page under “Auctions”.
39. Can I bid on a Future Auction beforehand?
Yes! If you bid before the auction countdown starts, your
bid will be registered and you will be considered as the highest bidder when
the auction starts. You will only appear as the highest bidder at the start of
the auction, if you have not been out bidded by another user.
40. What happens to the auction during system downtime?
The auctions will be stopped and they will continue at the
point they were stopped after the system restarts.
41. Can I convert credit from my auction account to US
Dollars?
No, you can’t. You can only use credit for bidding at
PoshBid.
User Information
42. How can I edit my Profile?
Your profile can be edited under the link Edit Profile in
the Member's Area.
43. How can I change my Username/Password?
Username and Password can be edited under the link Edit
Profile in the Member's Area.
44. What happens if I have forgotten my Username/Password?
You can request password/username recovery by going to the
Forgot Password link on the main page. The password/username you entered when
registering will be sent to your E-mail address.
45. Can I delete my account?
If you wish to delete your account, you have to send an
e-mail to PoshBid technical support stating your username, registered E-mail
and contact information to verify your wish.
46. Why can’t I see the auctions I won 3 months ago?
PoshBid updates the data held in its servers every 3 (three)
months and will move old data to another server for bookkeeping, therefore you
won't be able to see information older than 3 (three) months.
47. Is my personal data going to be used for any commercial
purposes?
Personal data is not revealed to third parties. Personal
data is used for shipping purposes and within PoshBid for statistical overview.
Data will also be used for forwarding newsletters and information about ongoing
campaigns.
For more detailed information look up the PoshBid Privacy
Policy.

auctioning, you will see it soon on our auction list.
49. What if the auction price exceeds the Retail Price?
If the auction price exceeds the Retail Price shown on the
PoshBid auction, you will get 100% off the auction price.
50. What is a Daily Bid?
After you have purchased a BidPack you can claim your daily
bid, which is free-of-charge and consists of 30 bids per month. For more
information visit Claim Daily Bid in the Member's Area.
